Welcome to Bishop Auckland Radio Amateurs' Club

The Bishop Auckland Radio Amateurs' Club is a local club for Radio Amateurs and prospective Radio Amateurs alike. Our members range from about 14 to 70+ and include both male and female operators and prospective operators.

We meet every Thursday night at the Stanley Crook Village Hall at about 7.45pm, and normally leave at around 10pm. Our monthly meeting is held on the last Thursday of the month. Anyone is welcome any time, and we encourage people to take up the hobby of Amateur Radio.

We have facilities for operating, construction, reading or just chatting during our get-togethers, so most people will be catered for. There is also an almost fully-equipped kitchen at the club where teas and coffees can be made.

If you are interested in taking any courses such as foundation, intermediate or advanced, please see the training page for the more details on these.

The club holds the callsign G(X)4TTF, and we are active mainly on 2M and 20/15/10M. We hold a FISTS number which is 6471 and a century award number 1273, thanks to Glenn M0AYI and others.
